September 22, 2010: An apocryphal story of the young Friedrich Nietzsche relates how the shy schoolboy admitted to his playfellows his love of sauerkraut. Taunted and ridiculed by his peers, as is the fashion of youngsters then and now, Nietzsche was cruelly asked: “well, then why don’t you marry it?!” We at Army Defense retroactively stand beside the 19th century’s greatest advocate of the re-centering of the subject and proudly say: “If our new album were sauerkraut, we would marry it!” Yes, friends, we like this one; we really, really like it. We think you will agree that this investigation of the briny, shredded plant, influenced by such diverse thinkers as Gilles Deleuze and Billy Joel, is not only the most intellectually challenging of our works, but is in fact AD’s Sgt. Pepper: the pop masterpiece you have long waited for and demanded, marinated with love, patience, and sweet, salty tears.
Special thanks to Marc-David for providing a suitable clip from the golden age of radio quiz shows.

September 22, 2010: It is a truth universally acknowledged that everyone likes Van Halen, and no one likes being sick. Scientists have long attempted to reconcile the contradictions in this fact, but it took Army Defense to provide the Grand Unifying Theory, written in musical equations everyone can enjoy. While no amount of circle squaring can change the fact that sickness sucks, this record goes a long way towards making those stuffy noses, aching heads, and exploding bowels that much more lovable and listenable.

September 22, 2009: Desperate times call for desperate measures. And while 12 measures of blues may seem fitting for this economic hardship, AD has tackled the problem by writing a pop album. Based on the 30 companies that once made the Dow Jones Industrial Average, we are proud to announce the release of "Exile on Wall Street".

May 9, 2009: Congratulations, Barry Hill! He officially became a member of the Army Defense family on May 9th, 2009. The rigorous confirmation process ended on May 8th, with most of Army Defense voting along party lines.

August 31, 2007: Only 42 songs this time. But we did pass the 100,000 second benchmark of recorded music for Army Defense. This one is called Stratocaster Upon Avon. We hope you ENJOY THE ALBUM

September 24, 2006: 191 songs. 10 hours. 6 continents. 17,000 wav files. 54 gigabytes. 13 months. 3 fights. 1 rose on a snare. 2 screensavers. 2 guest drummers. 2 guest vocalists. 5 chubbies. THE ALBUM THE MAP
